Join us for a mellow, intimate night of songs and stories.
A Sunken Ship Irony has been performing across the Midwest for almost two decades, creating an emotionally charged blend of indie and folk rock. Their song “Island of Misfit Toys” was featured in the 2009 film Friends with Benefits.
Minneapolis-based, Katy Tessman is an optimistic and approachable singer-songwriter with a voice full of the wisdom she’s gained through breast cancer survival, heartbreak, and motherhood. Books and music have always taken center stage in Katy’s life. As a writer, Katy aims to spread hope and joy with her books and songs. Her powerful vocals and rhythmic approach to guitar (or mandolin) express a straight-from-the-heart songwriting style that moves passionately over diverse emotional and musical terrain.
The Tom O'Bedlam came of age imprinted on the pattern of Minneapolis' streets. He likes long walks in lousy weather and the poetry of passed over places.
Halen Joe Eckman writes acoustic folk-rock songs that look for levity in lean times and confront the mundane with a unique and sometimes irreverent perspective. He says, “I take ‘not taking myself seriously’ VERY seriously. Seriously.”
