At long last, this book of real heroism has arrived! There are no robots or dinosaurs, just a raging fire and a dozen kids trying to climb a tall pine. As the fire gets closer, the smoke gets more dense and it gets harder to breathe, they wait to evacuate. Then Mom has an asthma attack and Betty breaks her toe, so they take the only car to the hospital leaving 9-year old Annette to watch over her 11 cousins and siblings.
