Every last Thursday of the month poets, musicians, and musers gather among the books and our darling piano to share their work. Hosted by local musician Peter Breen, our Open Mic is a space to experiment with new work, to unearth old work, or practice in front of a humble crowd. All are welcome to share or just to listen. Slots are 10 minutes each; sign ups start at 6:30.

This month will be a special Halloween iteration of the Open Mic. People are invited to share anything that is spooky. If you can't think of anything spooky, try the prompt "What is something that has happened in your life that you simply cannot explain?" Instead of having a featured artist, there will be a motley of musicians curated by Peter Breen making some strange sounds in the middle of the event. Come in costume or plain clothes, bring a trick or bring a treat.
