Every last Thursday of the month poets, musicians, and musers gather among the books and our darling piano to share their work. Hosted by local musician Peter Breen, our Open Mic is a space to experiment with new work, to unearth old work, or practice in front of a humble crowd. All are welcome to share or just to listen. Each month, we feature a particular artist. This month's featured artist is Molly Sowash. Native Ohioan and member of local trio Mama Caught Fire, Molly's songwriting reflects her deep connections to the land and her desire to protect it. Having recently released her first full length with Mama Caught Fire, entitled "Listen As She Speaks", she has found herself back in the world of songwriting again and will be sharing new work alongside the old.
