Whistling Shade release parties, in which the lastest issue of the beloved lit mag is launched with an evening of collaborative readings, are always a treat. The latest event will also include a few tricks. In honor of Whistling Shade's Horror issue, we'll be hosting a special reading in the store's basement featuring hair-raising fiction and poetry from David Fingerman, Sten Johnson, Rebecca Jones and Tony Rauch.
About the Authors:
David Fingerman lives in Minneapolis. He’s published three novels and two books of speculative fiction short stories. He is currently working on a mystery/suspense novel.
Sten Johnson is the senior fiction editor for Whistling Shade. His latest published work is an essay on HP Lovecraft in this issue, and he'll read a short piece by Lovecraft at the release.
Rebecca Jones is a poetry editor for Whistling Shade, and she'll read a few of the Horror poems from this issue.
Tony Rauch is an Architect and Urban Designer living in Minneapolis. He has three collections of funky, jazzy, dreamy stories published, most recently What if i got down on my knees? (Whistling Shade Press).
