Join the Uhuru Solidarity Movement to learn how white people can work for reparations under the leadership of the Black working class!

About this event

White people: are you concerned with the devastating conditions of poverty, mass incarceration, food deserts, gentrification, homelessness, unemployment, police violence and starvation faced by countless African/Black people in the Twin Cities and around the world? Are you seeking a productive way to channel your disgust at this social system?

Then YOU are invited to join the Uhuru Solidarity Movement as we work to organize white people in Minneapolis by building a local branch of USM, under the leadership of the Black-led Uhuru Movement and the African People's Socialist Party!

Speakers include:

  • Jamaal Abegaz of the African People's Socialist Party

  • Jesse Nevel of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement

Two years have passed since rebellions shook the world after the murder of George Floyd. Police murders continue unabated with Amir Locke being the latest example of the never-ending violence faced by the African/Black community.

It is more urgent than ever that white people step up, move beyond protest and into principled solidarity with the struggle for Black Power and liberation of the colonized peoples of the world.

The mission of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement is to organize our own white community to build a mass movement for white reparations to African people in the form of political and material solidarity. We welcome you to join us!
