The book is adult fiction written in four parts.
Part I: Deals with the murder of a teenage girl and law enforcement's inability to solve the case. It remains unsolved for decades.
Part II: Gem City's history and its people.
Part III: More often than not, Gem City calls people back like a magnetic force.
Part IV: Written in first person, past tense. It reveals what could be the teenage girl's murderer. Also, it covers rumors, gossip and heroics of some of the town's inhabitants.
J.P. Johnson is the author of two short-story collections: "Convoluted Tales" and "Convoluted Tales 2.0." He is a retired real estate agent who's glad to be retired so he can devote more time to writing. He lives in Northeast Mpls.
